EN: Even if we came back from Waha almost two weeks ago, I really liked it, so I thought I should tell you a bit about my experience there.
What I really loved, and what determined us to drive such a long distance to get there, was the location of the festival: a forest!
EN: Some useful information about the location of the festival, which we knew about before leaving, making our trip very easy and well-organized:
- as I mentioned before, the festival takes place in a forest, which means you will be surrounded by nature the whole weekend – with everything this involves
- the festival is not within the telephone coverage area, which means you won’t have mobile phone signal or internet – and that’s what makes it even more interesting!
- the shower is almost a luxury; there is a very nice place, specially made for the festival, where you can take a shower, and you even get a bio soap, but you have to queue for about hald an hour
Ce sa iei cu tine:
- cort
- izoprene sau saltele gonflabile
- sac de dormit
- apa! (potabila, dar si pentru spalat)
- servetele
- prosoape
EN: What to take with you:
- tent
- sleeping pads or inflatable mattress
- sleeping bag
- water! (for drinking and for washing)
- tissues
- unalterable food (sealed foodstuff or fresh vegetables and fruits); I even made some simple cupcakes that are perfect for breakfast
- light clothes for the day-time (when it’s really hot), and some warm ones for the night (when it can get really cold)
- towels
Ce am facut in timpul zilei:
EN: What we did during the day:
The camping site is located in a shaded area, which means you’ll be able to sleep as much as you want, as the tent will not overheat in the morning.
But you really have plenty of stuff to do during the day at Waha. Almost every stage has non-stop music, so you can go on partying right after you wake up.
What’s more, the food stands in the food area offer a large variety of foodstuff at a reasonable price (burgers, salads, soups, raw-vegan food).
At the pop-up stores you can buy a lot of handmade stuff, carefully crafted by local or foreign artisans.
But even with this whole variety of activities, we also wanted to visit the surroundings. We went to take a bath in the lake Sfanta Ana (around 40-minutes drive) – a volcanic lake. And we didn’t regret going a single moment!
EN: To sum it up, I would’t say Waha is suitable for any kind or person – it’s not very large, you don’t see a lot of facebook posts about it, and the music may not please any taste. But, in my opinion, it’s a festival worth going to, if you love listening to nice music while surrounded by a relaxed atmosphere.
